Challenge #1: First Attempt With Determinati - Started Jul 15, 2008
Challenge Goals/Notes: I believe that if I truly want
Week 2 Notes: Happy with week 1 progress. Ate very clean the entire week. I have to travel over the weekend of week 2. My goal is to keep the good life styles changes up with food and exercises choices.
Week 3 Notes: Did great throughout the week. Had to travel to a convention over the weekend. I made several good choices and was around unhealthy food options all weekend. Even though I did not give in to these options my weight change was not signficant. I believe it was a combination of drinking decaffienated coffee, and coke zeros to keep myself occupied during convention lectures. I also did not get to exercise during these two days. My free day did consist of fast food due to travel. All in all I'm happy that I did not gain weight. A little disappointing that I let my hard work in the week be off set by choices over the weekend. Looking forward to tightening things up this week. Started running with a run group to help train for marathon in Jan 09 so this should help.
Week 4 Notes: Worked hard this week. Happy with progress. I actually had one workout on the beach and enjoyed it. Joining a run group last week I think will be very benificial for me. Enjoying lifestyle change so far.
Week 5 Notes: Starting to see some differences. My waist line is getting smaller. My pants are beginning to feel more loose. I have a big challenge coming up this coming week. I will be on vacation at the beach. I'm really hoping I can maintain my progress.
Challenge #2: Finish What I Start - Started Jan 17, 2010
Challenge Goals/Notes: I've started this so many times but have never finished the program. I know I have within me what it takes to be successful. I would really like to have a new transformed me not only for myself but for my husband as well.
Week 1 Notes: I'm really pleased with week #1. I put good effort into eating good and exercising. I even did a 4 mile race over the weekend with good personal results. I really didn't use the free day. I felt like I didn't want or need it this week. My goal this week is to do some cardio sessions in the morning. I couldn't seem to incorporate a.m. rising last week.
Week 2 Notes: Another good week. I had to make sure I wasn't concentrating on weight loss as an indicator of my success. My measurements show progress and I'm definitely excited about that. I've signed up for a 1/2 marathon next weekend which has helped me be consistent with my cardio and eating right. I can't wait to see what happens in the weeks to come. I'm ready this time to see it to the end.
Week 3 Notes: I didnt take any measurements or weigh myself this week. I had alittle bit of a different week. I ran in a 1/2 marathon at the end of the week. That played a factor into less exercise this week and more carbs than normal. I'm very excited about my personal results in the 1/2 marathon. Besides that goal attained, I slipped alittle this week. Need to tighten up and push harder this week. I think next week will have a slower start with exercise due to some soreness from the 1/2 marathon. Will push harder once it subsides.
Week 5 Notes: I've slipped some in the last 2 wks. I haven't been consistent with staying on the eating program and logging my information. I've done this in the past and know where it leads. I'm looking to turn this around and keep plugging away for lifestyle changes. Positive: I've done well with working out. I've found an a.m. workout buddy to help get me up in the morning. I've also signed up for 4 run races coming up.
Challenge #3: Believe & Finish - Started Apr 12, 2010
Challenge Goals/Notes: I've never finished a challenge for the complete 12 weeks. I'm the road block to my success. I'm working out with enough effort and regularity. It's my consistentcy with eating healthy and portion sizes that has haulted any progress. I have to figure out this side of things in order for this challenge to be any different.
Week 4 Notes: The last few weeks have been an amazing experience for me. I have finally given the Lord full rein in my life. I stand in much anticipation as He continues to transform me from the inside out. I actually enjoy taking care of myself and don't struggle with it anymore. I never want to live another day without Jesus leading my every step. This transformation is soley for and from You! Let the ride begin!
Week 5 Notes: 7/13/10 I'm very pleased with my progress and efforts. I've officially signed up for a marathon in about 3 months. So it's training time. I think this will greatly aid in my continued efforts to live right and truly honor the Lord. My weight workouts and running have especially been enjoyable. Still eating very clean. I will need to increase my caloric intake as I increase my workout exposure. I think I'm alittle under what I need now. Something to tinker with in the weeks to come.
