Ok! I've set my mind to beginning Body For Life once again, as I KNOW that it can work for me. I've seen results in my "attempts" to complete the program in the past. Both times that I followed the plan( and I say that loosely), I focused mainly on the eating and cardio. Weight lifting always intimidated me. Over the years, I've learned the importance of weight training for changing my overall physique and keeping weight off. I feel that I will have a better grasp completing the exercises this time. I have to say, I am truly shocked and embarrassed with my measurements. I do have a poor self image, but I have been working toward not being to critical toward myself over the years. On the other hand, it's the way that I FEEL physically that gets me down - not to mention how lifeless my skin and hair looks (and I have always had great skin - feeling blessed for that). I guess my measurements make me realize that my body has really changed over the years, and I have gained a lot of fat, despite my many attempts at "tomorrow I will get my act together". I'm living in a trailer for the next few days, and moving into my new house on Tuesday. I'm taking into account that next week will be a crazy time to get myself organized for the plan, so I have started to prepare by getting some new workout clothes, water bottles and small food containers to support "mini" meals. I've also registered on this site! Feeling excited and looking forward to any advice I can get before starting my challenge on the 31s ...and I still plan on going to the gym for the next few days because...why not get a little head start? :)
