How awesome is that picture? Oh to be ripped....
Thought I'd take Di's hint and start a new thread . THose long ones are in fact a pain to load on your phone....
Di- hope things get better for you. I've been at the same job for 6 years and I am SO over it already. I get bored easily. 18 yrs. damn
Michelle- the Sots press I find VERY humbling. Balance. Core. Strength, ugh. Lots to keep tight.
Jim- Am I the only one who didn't know you had hernia surgery? Theres a gal in our gym who's had three. UGH! Glad to hear you don't have any residual pain...aside from the possible loss of your nuts
Just getting some stuff done around the house here....
I am known to do the wop. Also known for the flinstone flop.

Amy - I didn't know either. And she's even more gorgeous in person. Kind of ridiculous.
Telle - Sorry to hear the weather didn't cooperate for you. Camping is still good, even when it's cold.
Jim - I'd keep Uncle Jimmy in your back pocket if you're ever looking for a WOD. It was actually pretty good. Funbobby designs some evil stuff. Also, shhh. I had to put my furnace on the other day. Your weather sounds amazeballs.
Carol - *gasp* Do it! It'll be interesting to be a part of that! There were three doubles this last week. Going to do two or three this week as well. Just to get ready before Saskatoon. Then, I lift.
Michelle - That's western Canada for you.
Diane - 18 years with the same company? That's super long for private sector!
Rod - I'm partial, because I love them, but squats are the bestest ever. I try and fit in 3x5 squats once a week. Speaking of...
Tonight was 3x5 squats @ 195. Felt pretty good. After was the Javorek complex. Fun times until I failed my second hang power snatch at 90lbs. My inability to break through this mental barrier of getting under the bar aggressively as soon as I hit the 90lb mark is wearing really thin at this point. This should not be a heavy lift for me. I'm getting the bar up to the height of my eyebrows. Why I won't just pull under frustrates me to no end. Sorry for ranting a bit. I've just been stuck with a 90lb badly pressed out snatch as my PR for a year now. 85 went up three times easy with no press out in sight.
It's supposed to be hard.

Copied from Team Challenger: Workout was: 2000m row, 100 American Kettlebell Swings, 10 muscle-ups My time: 21:20. My modifications: 26# KB (Women's Rx weight is 35#) and jumping muscle ups. It was a good one! Kettlebells are how I injured my SI joint. I'm itching to get back to 35#, but the trainer thought 100 swings might be too much to start with that, so I grabbed both weights. Uh, after the row, I can see that he was 100% correct. I did jumping muscle-ups and I had to lower the rings from where I'd placed them before the workout. I was toasted! Leya, sorry about the frustration. I hear ya! Yeah, I started working for this law firm in February 1991. Only stayed about six months because I moved to Chicago for a couple of years. Then back to Denver and did eight years there. Then moved to Chicago for 9 months. Then back to Denver and next week is nine years. Shoot me now! So, about 18 years, plus or minus. But this is ALL I've done since I finished school. Now they've got me trapped with my salary and my six weeks of paid time off. OK, gotta get ready. Thanks for the new thread! Love you guys!

Amy I would love to be able to wear a pair of shorts again someday. Leya that's how I felt with the 100# power clean. I had it up to the scarecrow point and just needed to flip my elbows and get under it. It pi$$ed me off so badly. It's too early in this for me to get too pi$$y though. I've still got tons to learn and be patient with. Carol what happened to your pulled pork? Go Diane!! Our WOD is a team WOD, I'm skeered, it involves 20" box jumps.

Hey all...
Leya - your squat is excellent
My squats weren't too bad last night... 195 for 6 didn't feel too hard, and considering I rocked forward on the 5th rep and was still able to correct and do the 6th one I probably should have done 200lbs as my last set...
Bench tonight... back and forth... food is better again... now to keep it that way

I want beautiful cleans!!!
Michelle-The pork wasn't done when I had to leave. Plus it was way fatty. Blech.
Telle-Good job on the eats!
I was wrong. No box jumps or pull ups. Instead it was 400m run, 21 shoulder press, 400m run, 21 push press, 400m run, 21 push jerks. Light weight but I was able to rep them out pretty well and my form felt good. 13:18. I think... Then worked on HSPUs and ring dips. My shoulders are massive.
edited to say those were supposed to be sprints but I felt like I was running in slow motion for some reason.
