Good Lord it's early. How did I use to do this every day? Going to the 6am class today because...well, it doesn't matter, I just am. Yawn.
Hi Hula! Missed you. Did you have a great time? Did you get any good bonding in with your sister? Yes, I go to the doctor today at 2. Blah.
Meeting last night about the nutrition challenge was cool. Dang. If I can't figure this stuff out with all the tools and personal help they'll be providing I give up. I may as well go back to beer and doritos.
It's hard to chug scalding hot coffee.
Embrace the suck.

I have more catching up to do! So, I will start by giving you a little synopsis of whats been going on in my little life that past couple of weeks.
First of all, my DSIL had a nervous breakdown in the Army. He will NOT be going back to Iraq for the the 3rd time. It was pretty bad and he had to be hospitalized Even last weekend DD said he was acting really nutty and almost called the police. Scary.
Secondly, I lost my freaking stupid job! I have made peace with that and as of Dec. 18 or so, I will be unumployed and will NOT be looking for work in the travel field. I am done with that. So, I may be on Unimployment for awhile. (smile)
Thirdly, all the bills came in for DS's wedding! Holy cows, did I spend the money!
So, now that I have all that off my chest. I am feelinig back to my old self. My foot is getting better and better and I see the Dr. today. I think he will be happy with the progress.
My eating is back on the good side and I don't plan an visiting the dark side any time soon!
Have a great day ladies
Hula: Thanks for the start today....I am going to start reading some of the posts to see what you have been up to!
Love,
Carole

Good morning. Sorry to hear about all the poopy stuff, family drama (don't mean that word in a negative way), and yuckiness going around. But I'll share my good vibes w each and every one of ya! Despite the burial for my uncle this morning, I'm in a pretty good place....I had to come to terms with my own feelings about death, the C word, etc....and I feel better. C'mon......toast a glass of water to good vibes for the day! uh............did somebody say beer & doritos?
Keep on truckin', mama!

Do I have to jump on this CF wagon that everybody seems to be jumping on? Carole, I also hope they're able to get DSIL some help....those guys go beyond the call of duty, especially when it's deployment after deployment. Good Lord, I couldn't imagine. and for accountability....last night was an 8.5 mile HILLY ride. OMG I thought I was gonna die at one point. This AM was an UBWO, BFL-style.....MAN do I love when I come back to the pyramid style.
Keep on truckin', mama!

Nope. It's just one type of workout. I happen to love it, but that doesn't mean everyone will. Am I talking about it too much? Feel free to tell me to shut up already. I know we have a tendency to obsess about it.

Hello ladies. Good morning! SQUISHY HUGS all around!!!
Hula - I've missed you sunshine.
Carole - I am so sorry to hear about your DSiL and his breakdown. Unfortunately it is all too common. My brother was in Iraq some years back as a gunner in a Humvee in Baghdad, and he had PTSD and some anger probs when he came back. I have some connections for Marines with PTSD, I'll see what I can strum up for Army contacts, if you're interested, that is. I'm going to boxing today and by-gum, I'm gonna get some blippin' workouts in the mail to you!!! What a stinker about the job But good news about the foot, right? Life's whacky sometimes.
Carole - I'm sure you'll get all your nutrition figured out. You always seem to. Impingements SUCK. That's what I had my ankle surgery for (along with bone spurs.) In my experience P.T. does nothing. Surgery works, but sucks. They offer cortisone, but I've been told by some docs/therapists NOT to get the cortisone b/c in the long run it weakens the tendons. And then acupuncture, which I haven't tried, but my brother has knee issues and did acupuncture and it's helped.
Gayle - I'm so sorry for your loss...losses. Nice on the bike ride though.
Off to the gym in about a 1/2 hour.
Love to all of you!!!
Life is short. Be happy NOW.

Good morning ladies... Carole I'm sorry about DSIL, I'm with Carol, I hope he gets the help he needs and deserves. And that's super great news on your foot progress!! Yay for you. I saw a special on TV the other day about people on "funemployment" doing things they've never gotten to do. Interesting take on it for sure. Hula I'm glad you had fun with your sister!! Carol nope you don't talk CF too much at all. I hope you all have a great day!!

Carole, I'm glad to see you here I did tell the team about your job news & foot progress, but I hadn't said anything about your DSiL. PTSD is a female dog. Re: the wedding -- I know you did! Yikes! Carol, that's really cool about the nutrition challenge! Jordan must be really stoked to have been picked! You don't talk about CF too much -- we like hearing about it And I loved my CF day. Is it for me? Sometimes I think it is, sometimes I don't. Either way, until we get a box here (and we dish out the moolah), it's kind of a moot point. Is it for you? Uh, HECK YEAH! Hula Bula, welcome back! So glad you had some good sis bonding time Did you get out of TX b4 the bad weather hit? What are "twinkie w/o shoes?" Twinkie and Workout in the same sentence Gayle, I'm glad to hear that you're able to deal with all of that. Really hate that C word. Great job on the bike ride! Elle, thanks for the squishy! Love all your helpfulness this morning Sorry about the PMS -- aarrgghh! Have a great w/o! Hi Michelle! Love "funemployment!" Going out for a run, then need to get ready for choir. I don't have my accompanist there tonight so it'll be very different. I don't play piano, unfortunately, but I have cd's of most of the music we're doing. I can play each part, 1 at a time, but that's about it Julie ♥s NY! She was sitting outside, having pizza, just b4 going to Macy's. Ahhhhh... Then DH had to mess that up by reporting that Little Bittle had just taken 3 steps to him -- her 1st!! But she's having a great time. They'll be going to the studio soon, her friend's DH is already there. Hope he wins enough to pay Julie back for the trip : ♥
