Team Mephobia Jan 3

Here we go.

Welcome ana28 to the Mephobians. One more way for me to stalk you!

Loved reading the goals. I actually still need to work on mine. I'm not great at that. For whatever reason, it stresses me out. But I know it's super important. Mine always tend to be too general and not really measurable. I'll be working on that and will post by Monday.

Vacation was tough on the old body. I'm at the heaviest I've been in a really long time. Not proud of that, but I'm the only person in this whole entire universe who can do anything about it, right? So I start today by taking one day, one meal, one workout at a time until I am back in the groove.

Strength wod and then a regular CF wod this morning. I can totally do this.

Why, good morning my sweet BFF! Thank you for the approval. It feels good to be back here

I need to work on my goals. December was a tough month on me physically due to my little accident which my body promptly followed w a cold (a few days ago). So, I've been wo a workout for a month now. But, I know that it's best for me to be completely healed in all ways before going crazy.

So, I'll work on my goals and post today. Hopefully, I'll be back to 100% by Monday and can get to work on my more beautiful, healthier me

And a big "HELLO" to all my old teammies and friends!! Xoxo

My ovaries are closed for business.

Good Morning Ladies!!!

I was able to go to a book signing for the Nom Nom Paleo book and the Well Fed cookbooks last night, which helped re-light the paleo fire in me. I still won't be 100% because that makes me crazy, but it feels good to be into it again. I am armed with a ton of recipes to help with variety, so there should be no excuses.

Workouts have been few and far between these past two weeks due to holidays and no daycare at the gym, or sparse daycare. But Saturday I get 2 hours to fit in a bunch of stuff. So I am looking forward to it!!!

Holy...posting the blurry pics I took.  I'm having a trusted friend  (TRUSTED) take pics tomorrow.  I guess my official start date will be tomorrow then.  But, for now - damn it...I've really been partaking these past four months on carbs and sugar.  Oh well!  Onward and upward!

Good to see you, Alli, Carol, and Amy   Okay - question:  Should we go by screen names or does it even matter?

Something cute and sarcastic should go here but I can't think of anything. Check back later.

Today's strength wod was 5x5 deadlifts @ 145,155,165,170,175 and 5x3 shoulder press @ 35,45,50,55,65

Regular wod was 5x3 overhead squats followed by 5 rounds of 8 overhead squats, 200m row with a 10 minute time cap. Went crazy light on those OHS squats and still had to switch to front squats during the 3rd round beacuse my shoulder was barking.

I have this amazing leftover steak in my fridge that I am DYING to eat for breakfast, but I'm trying to hold off till later. Not sure I can wait. I hear it mooing at me.

Embrace the suck.

I'd also eat it. It's steak!

Good eats today, yesterday and day before. Yay me! Wednesdays training was a gong show with the dystonia but got through it. Yesterday was a rest day. Today wasn't bad but highlights my significant strength imbalance between lower body and upper. 1rm shoulder press at 85lbs, 1rm max push press at 120lbs, 2 rounds for times with 3 min rest of 500m row and 25 push press at 65lbs (2:56 and 3:12) back squats 6@185, 4@210, 2@240 then a burn out set at 225lbs. Did 10 unbroken. After that another metcon with thrusters at 65lbs and muscle ups (20T, 4 MU, 15T, 3MU... 5T, 1mu). 15:52 as rx'd. Locking out at the top of the muscle up was daaaaaaang hard. Totally peed my pants.

But the purple Inzer lever belt fit better today!

Ps. Totally stressing about a guy. Dating at this age is bull!

I CrossFit for the euphemisms.
