Sooooo, looks like I will have some extra time off this month

Good news:  I need it!

Bad news:  It's because mom and I had an argument because she's being irrational and unkind.

Good news:  I am proud of the person I am and thankful to have so many friends and family members who love me for who I am.

So yeah, yadda yadda yadda.

Other random stuff:

I'm just shelfing the stuff that goes along with all of this ^^

It is raining non-frickin stop here!

The kiddo who was leaving, now their (pregnant) mom wants to talk to me about staying....fingers crossed I won't really have the openings to fill!

Class night!  Woot.  I need a good sweat.

Food to prep for the week is on my to do list today--chicken in the crockpot, roasted veggies, eggs, ?  Lots of repitition but yumm-o on the food!

My kids are done with school this week on Friday!  Oh my!  Time to get organized so they don't drive us crazy!

I drank too much on Saturday night and threw up in the bathtub.  WTF is that?!  Ha! Apparently I cannot do more than 3 drinks anymore

Family pictures on Sunday....I have spent too much time on Pinterest seeing if our coordinated clothes are too matchy matchy or just right

Ok, more coffee needed

Happy Monday!

I swear where do the days go? Speaking of drinking we had the best shot on GNO. A Reese's pieces shot. Frangilico and Whit Cream de Cocoa with a tad bit of salt on the rim. I am not much of a shot girl cause I puke when I do shots. I sipped it and it was very tasty.

Erika – I know that overwhelmed feeling. Seems like summer ramps everything up a notch. I know my Dd was worn out from her busy week last week. I could have used another ½ day of some R&R. That sleeping beauty picture is the stinking truth. Gotta love moms. As mine gets older the less patience I have for her negativity. (((HUGS)))) to you! Were you in the bath or just bent over it to puke? LOL! We know you drink the hard stuff. 3 brandies would make me puke too. What did you decide on for the family pictures?

Beth – Saturday was all about ME…LOL! I know I am selfish like that. Workout, Beauty shop therapy and some retail therapy and DD was babysitting an infant for the first time so I went with her just in case she needed anything. Sunday I did the elliptical, yoga food prep and then a L’Dara party. My friend is now selling this anti-aging cream. Not sure if I am sold on it yet we will see she gave me some samples.

hello!! Back from vacation and motivated by the pics The wedding was beautiful. Had a marvelous time. Getting into IIFYM dieting… freedom with what you eat, but you have to hit your macros. Today I ate chickfila. Was delicious, but all I get the rest of the day is a salad with grilled chick and 1.5 whey protein drinks. boo! I'm a hungry girl. Will drink lots of water til dinner.

Haven't gone back to catch up….

love the start, E! Hilarious. Bummer about the fight with mom. But your attitude is spot on. Kudos for keeping level headed. I drank at the wedding and rehearsal…. felt a little dizzy at bedtime, but no hangover thank goodness. I HATE that feeling. LMAO at the tub puke though.

Dee- that shot sounds pretty darn good!

DH leaves for an overseas trip today through Sat… its my first go at 2 kiddos solo! Lord, help me!!

My cup runneth over.

Class night was great--I needed a good butt kicking!

Dee--no I wasn't IN the tub!  My DH asked why I didn't use the toilet, and I was like, "Duh, the toilet smell would make me even sicker!"

Katie--good luck to you for the rest of the week w/ your solo parenting.  I'll wait for your review of IIFYM, I read a lot about people doing it.

Where are you today, Beth?

Nicole--come on back!

eta: I had to make it my profile pic for a while, especially since I want to work out in the mornings this week.

good morning. Slow start today at my house, but up and at'em now. Heading out to the stroller workout club in a few. Yesterdays stats were pretty good for the first planned food day after a vacation. I HATE that hungry feeling when you reduce calories… I'm eating enough - was well over 1700 yesterday, but was hungry! I'm sure I crossed over 2000 by a lot at the beach.. especially with the alcohol and carbs. Today my mission is to find filling foods and drink tons of water.

Glad you had a good butt kicking in class, Erika! I like the concept of IIFYM, but I can tell you now I won't be a true follower b/c I refuse to weigh everything I eat. Too much detail and time and planning. I'll measure a few portions here and there, like chicken… but I am not measuring every scoop of everything. I will keep up with serving sizes and MFP. I think for me right now just getting in the ballpark of the macros based on what I calculated with IIFYM and changed on MFP goals, I'll see great results. Im not training for the stage or anything… I'll let you know how I adapt….

My cup runneth over.

Oh My Gosh.  Erika, bless your heart... throwing up after drinking is never fun.  But... you got a lot of it out of your system which probably helped lessen the hangover.  LOL at why you picked the tub.  Great job on getting your butt kicked, and getting back on track.  And I'm sorry about your mom, but really proud of you for setting boundaries with her on what's okay and what's not okay.  I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't have to fill an opening soon.

Katie, you were beautiful in your pics, but I understand the motivation.  It will take about a week for your new macros to settle, and your body to adjust, but you'll be on track in no time.  Keep us posted on how that works for you.  I'm so glad you had fun on your trip, even with a new baby with you.  I'm sure it was a wonderfully happy time. Oh and use all your resources while your DH is out of town, ask for help.  Having two kiddos on your own is going to be challenging.  But you can do it!

Dee, YUM on the Reese's pieces shot.  Will have to try that, next time I'm doing shots.  Typically I'm a tequila girl.    Sounds like you had a great weekend, and let us know about that anti-aging cream.  I'm always on the lookout for things that will make me younger looking and hotter.

Sunday night and yesterday morning were hard here.  C had that friend over all weekend, which was lots of fun, but overstimulating for C, he does well when he gets some down time.  He didn't get any, AND didn't get enough sleep.  So... overstimulated and tired meant super big meltdown Sunday night (I'M NOT GOING TO GET UP TOMORROW, I'M NOT GOING TO CAMP...) and lots of crying.  So I decided to let him sleep in yesterday, and ease into the week.  Also talked to the director about things they can do to help him succeed at camp, and have fun.  She seemed very agreeable, and seemed to understand.  We'll see how that goes.  So... we are just trying to get into the new groove of camp, and a different schedule.  But we'll get there.

That's about it... nothing going on in the dating world, that guy I was talking to did the whole 'disappear' thing on me, hasn't emailed or texted or been online... UGH.  I'll just plow through some work and not worry about it.

Later!

I am enough.

So I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought myself a full back massager that you set in a chair to help losen the tight muscles in my back. Man it felt amazing last night and now I am way sore from it this am. Water Water Water flush that stuff out. Then John Ball and I did BACK today!

Katie – Welcome back! The pictures look fabulous. You lost me on the IIFYM??? Something for moms? Single mom of 2 this week. You got this! Good Luck! Try adding in more protein to keep that hungry feeling away.

Erika – LOL! Now that makes perfect sense. Ya the toilet smell would make me sicker too. Oh man my workout partner broke her ankle and I got a nice butt kicking this am. We did back and I am going to be sore sore sore tomorrow I am sure of it. The amount of weight he had me lifting was an amount I would have never picked for myself and freaking chin ups too! Hope your smiling!

Beth – Tequila sneaks up on me and I get sick from it. LOL! I am not sure on the L’dara thing yet. This is my dilemma DH works for a dermatology office I get EVERYTHING at cost and the cosmetic Dr. said I could get a prescription for some wrinkle cream that she is having me try. So do I spend the $90 a month to help my friend out on the L’dara thing or do I stick to the dermatologist route? Men I swear! Maybe you need one of your friends to set you up with a man that isn’t on line. I am wondering if these online guys are always looking for the better offer no matter what????

Dee - IIFYM is "if it fits your macros"… relaxed because it says no food is inherently clean or dirty…but a pita b/c you must weigh everything and keep meticulous track of macros. I would stick with the derma. route!

Beth - intense weekend. Sounds like you made a great executive decision with C and how to manage. You rock, mom.

Katie, I'm going to have to google your IIFYM thingy.    It sounds good for you, because I know how good you are at details, but with a new baby it might be a pain to get everything entered.  And thanks for the props on mommy-hood.  It's a roller coaster, for sure, these days.  But C and I seem to be forging a good 'new' relationship, as he matures. He's getting good at self-advocacy, and telling me/communicating what he needs.

Dee, I agree with Katie, go with the dermatologist stuff.  Lucky girl, getting it all at cost.    And believe me, if there was an available man within 50 (or even 300) miles that one of my friends could set me up with, I'd be all over that.  But none of my friends have friends they can set me up with.  So online dating is my only option, for now.

Erika, how are your morning workouts working out?    It's hump day, hopefully your week is going well.

I just scored two decent tickets to Tom Petty in September.  ROCK ON. LOVE him.

I am enough.
